A clumsy thief who nicked £150 worth of wine from a petrol station has been charged after arriving to the crime scene days later.
The 31-year-old man, from Greenwich, spotted police officers and tried to walk away, but his "distinctive" face tattoo quickly gave away his identity.
Officers from the team were at the BP on Mottingham Road taking statements in relation to a theft earlier in the week when the suspect arrived on scene. On seeing officers he tried to walk off unnoticed however unfortunately for him his distinctive facial tattoos gave him away 😂

He was arrested that day (February 10) over the theft at the BP on Mottingham Road and was charged after pleading guilty.
A spokesman for Mottingham police told News Shopper the man was sentenced to a community order and they were reluctant to name him because of his mental health.
