A man accused of murdering a mum-of-four as she reportedly went to pick her kids up from school is due to appear in court next month.

Ricardo Godinho, 41, of Kingston Road, was charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Aliny Mendes, 39, in the Sparrow Farm Road junction of London Road on February 8.

He was also charged with possession of a knife blade or sharply pointed article in a public space before being remanded into custody.

After appearing at Staines Magistrates’ Court on February 11, he will next appear at Guildford Crown Court on March 15.

Police would later confirm the murder accused was married to Mrs Mendes “but had separated”, while Meadow Primary School said she was a parent at their school.
