Patisserie Valerie in Sutton High Street is among stores to have survived the mass closures of branches following chain’s collapse.
Administrators of Patisserie Holdings say 71 outlets – or more than a third – will shut their doors, while 902 jobs are to be axed, after the move.
That comprises 27 stores, 25 concessions, and 19 Druckers outlets.
Their concessions include ones in Debenhams and Next department stores, as well as motorway service stations.
But despite the major announcement their Sutton outlet will remain open while eight in London shut up shop.
David Costley-Wood, partner at KPMG and joint administrator, said: “Since our appointment less than 24 hours ago, we have been pleased with the level of interest we have received in the business, and so remain hopeful of achieving a positive outcome.
"In the meantime, we can reassure customers that across the remaining 122 stores, it is all but business as usual."
Before Patisserie Valerie’s collapse they employed more than 3,000 employees.
