A burst water main at a war memorial junction in Chislehurst will cause delays throughout rush hour, people have been warned.

The emergency requires immediate repair work from Thames Water, and its engineers are currently on scene.

A Bromley Council spokesman said he regrets that the repairs will likely take days to complete, causing traffic congestion in the area.

Areas around Bromley Lane, Common Road, Bromley Road and Royal Parade will be affected by the repairs.

Bromley Council has advised Thames Water that reinstate works must be completed as soon as the burst water main has been repaired.

Prince Imperial Road is also closed for emergency gas works.
