A 14-year-old boy from Kingston has been charged following a stabbing over the weekend.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with robbery, grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place, and will appear at Staines Magistrate’s Court later today (January 16).

A 15-year-old, who was also arrested, has been released under investigation.

The incident took place following an altercation on a bridge over train tracks in Woodfield Road around 8.34pm.

One boy was taken to hospital with stab wounds where, according to his father, "is out of the ICU and doing well" although he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A second boy was also assaulted but has since been released from hospital.
