A woman in her 30s was seriously injured after being hit by a car in a suspected hit and run incident in West Molesey.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which was reported at around 2am early on Sunday morning in Walton Road, near the junction with the A3050.

A silver car is believed to have been involved in the incident and failed to stop at the scene.

Sergeant Geoff Longstaff from Surrey’s Roads Policing Unit said: “I would urge anybody with any information about the silver car to get in touch with us immediately. If you know someone who was out in this area at this time with a silver vehicle and it unexpectedly has some form of damage, please let us know.

“Also if you were driving through this area at this time and have any form of dash cam footage, the vehicle might have driven passed you.”
