A Wallington man has been charged after a “terrifying” armed robbery at a family-run post office in Banstead.
Police had been hunting the suspects behind the incident in Woodmansterne Street, which was reported at around 9am on December 12.
A 52-year-old man has now been charged in relation to the robbery, though officers continue to hunt for a second suspect still at large.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: “Police are continuing to appeal for information in relation to a second man believed to have been involved in the incident, during which staff were threatened with a handgun and a quantity of cash was taken.
