A software firm has raised £1,463 for the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher by holding a football tournament and a golf day.
Jo De Buriatte, a representative from the Hersham-based firm called Qualco delivered a cheque to the hospice on West End Lane just before Christmas and was given a tour of the charity.
She said: “The friendly and caring atmosphere that I sensed during my tour encourages people to spend the time they have together in a positive and supportive environment.
“All of this is delivered with the backing of consummate, compassionate medical professionals.”
The football tournament was held at Walton Casuals Football Club on November 2, while the golf day took place on November 23 at St. George’s Hill Golf Club.
Accepting the cheque, Claire Woodward from the Princess Alice Hospice said: “Qualco’s commitment to a local cause like the Hospice is extremely welcome and most appreciated.
“We rely very heavily on donations to continue providing first class end of life care throughout the year.”
