A Weybridge man who appeared at Guildford Crown Court this week has avoided jail time for possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

Mason Dean, 20, from Hillcrest, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months in court on December 17.

He was fined £540, ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and must remain at an address in Hillcrest between 9pm and 5am daily, which is electronically monitored for 2 months.

Officers uncovered 5.68g of cocaine from Dean’s car in October 2017 during a stop search on Locke King Road.

Dean was also convicted of drug driving earlier this year, after cocaine that exceeded the specified limit was found in his blood at a court appearance in April this year, which related to the same stop.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined a total of £235.
