Tooting Bec was closed off Monday night (November 12) after a crash between a woman and a pedestrian.

The car, driven by a 61-year-old woman, had reportedly mounted the pavement and collided with a woman, who was believed to be with her children. The car also collided with the front window of a business. 

The woman was taken to a west London hospital and her injuries were described by emergency services as not life-threatening of life-changing. The driver of the vehicle has been reported for driving without due care or attention. 

The crash happened at around 7.50 pm last night on Upper Tooting Road. Officers from South West Command Unit investigate and enquiries continue.
