Esher families looking for free weekend activities can look forward to October Festival coming to town next week.

The seasonal celebration, held in Esher Green from October 27 to 28, features international street food, handmade crafts and live music and children’s entertainment.

In addition to waxed cheese truckles, visitors can expect flavours from around the world including Polish sausages, curries and street food from Nepal and Thailand.

Those shopping for early Christmas gift ideas will have a choice of clothing, kitchen goods and jewellery.

Organiser Paul Kennedy said: ‘Esher is an ideal location to host our October Festival and we expect the event will help to increase footfall in the area.

“Our colourful Autumnal celebrations are prefect for the whole family and visitors can look forward to a very warm welcome.”

Esher October Festival is free to enter and will be open from 9am to 7pm on October 27 and from 10am to 6pm on October 28.
