The Mayor of Elmbridge and the Bishop of Guildford cut the ribbon strung across St Lawrence Church of England Junior School’s new school building last week
Cllr Shweta Kapadia and Reverend Andrew Watson attended the opening ceremony to celebrate the school's new facilities on September 20.
The new school building has a studio, classrooms with audio visual resources, a hall and improved grounds including an all-weather pitch.
Damian Tucker, headteacher at the school, said: “We are so fortunate to have been chosen for a complete rebuild.
“The school is a great place to come and work for both staff and pupils alike. We were very careful not to allow the new build to impact on the great learning that we provide and continued to have excellent results this year including a very successful Ofsted Inspection.
“We know that this building will be hub of great education for years to come”.
