These pictures and video show how firefighters in Esher reportedly spent the afternoon rescuing a horse in Esher yesterday (September 20).
Animal rescue teams from Esher, Painshill and Godstone fire stations are said to have spent over 5 hours moving the mare called Ziggy, after she had collapsed in her yard.
The Surrey Comet believes Ziggy was sedated and moved to a nearby field so she could be lifted back up.
In a Facebook post, Esher Fire Station - unofficial wrote: “She had collapsed in her yard and had to be moved to a nearby field so that we could try to get her back on her feet after sedation.
“After a very long day, I am very pleased to say that she finally got back on her feet at 6pm last night.”
