If you have been keeping a sharp eye on your weekly Epsom Guardian this month, you may have noticed we have an exciting development coming up for the newspaper.

We are proud to be able to bring the iconic Surrey Comet brand to the area, which will replace the existing Guardian as Epsom’s best free weekly newspaper.

The Surrey Comet has a rich history, being Surrey's first dedicated newspaper dating back to 1854, this new Epsom edition of the Surrey Comet will continue to see us bringing you the same quality local Epsom news that you love, but we will also be bringing you even more news in your bigger and better weekly paper, including stories of interest from the wider Surrey area.

Our websites will also be given a fresh look for this development, with the Epsom Guardian forming part of the Surrey Comet website, which can be found at www.surreycomet.co.uk.

At the Comet and Guardian newspapers, we are always looking for new ways we can engage better with you, our readers, and by making these changes we are confident we can provide you with an even stronger platform for reading about local news and issues.

The first new-look edition of the Epsom Comet will be available for free pick-up in shops across the Epsom, Ashtead, Chessington and Ewell areas on Thursday, September 27.

As part of these changes we have also re-introduced a former staple of the Comet series, the Kingston Comet, as well as reinvigorating our more general Surrey Comet title which covers news from across the north of the county.

We are excited to be closing in on the date of publishing our first new edition, and we look forward to hearing comments and feedback from you in the coming weeks.
