If you were wondering why a major road through Surbiton was cordoned off earlier this week, there is an easy explanation.
On September 13 police were forced to close part of Ewell Road after an anti-tank missile was discovered.
But it wasn't dug up as part of road works, or just found lying in a ditch somewhere.
No, it was being used in a more decorative manner, so to speak.
"Some of you may have noticed part of Ewell Road cordoned off," Alexandra VK Police wrote on Twitter.
"To avoid further inconvenience, if you happen to find an anti-tank missile, please don't use it as a door-stop."
That's right, it was being used an an oversized paper weight. That is certainly one way to attract a bit of attention.
