A collapsed sewer emergency in Kingston has forced motorists to take another route, as repairs are carried out.
Due to a damage sewer pipe, Walter Street will be closed where it meets Richmond Road by the open air car park.
A tanker is on site to mitigate any possibility of flood.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “The road will remain closed while we carry out vital work on the pipe, and diversions are in place.
“We estimate the repairs will take up to two weeks, and apologise for any disruption caused to drivers.”
