Five Epsom boxers are gearing up for the Queensbury Boxing League Show for a chance to contest three titles on a national stage.

The boxers will enjoy home advantage at Epsom Downs Racecourse tomorrow (September 8) in the televised competition.

Epsom-locals Billy Brazil, Jack Clarke, Michael Mason, Hussein Mohungoo and Leanne Ball will be representing the popular Gauntlett’s boxing gym when they enter the ring tomorrow.

Mr Brazil has come down two weights from cruiserweight since his last bout in April when he was defeated by Robinson on points.

The young super-middleweight prospect will make his return to the ring for his second fight when he meets Billy Coleman.

Mr Clarke, who made his boxing debut in July losing to Conor McGuinness has moved down to welterweight and will meet Bournemouth’s Charlie Martin on the night.

Cruiserweight Mr Mason, who won his debut back in April will face Bradley Robinson. He said “I’m looking forward to this fight bringing on a new challenger in front of a big home crowd.”

Mr Mohungoo, who won against Brighton’s Seb Hallet, will meet Mark Kreidi in a light-welterweight bout.

Leanne Ball, who picked up a draw in July when she fought Gemma Martin, will face Aimee Edwards for the Vacant Light Welterweight Title.

She said: “This is set to be the biggest fight of my life and one I am extremely looking forward to.

“I promise fireworks come September the 8th, me and the coaches have not underestimated Aimee’s ability in the ring but I am confident the work I have put in will pay off bringing the second belt back to the gym this year.”
