The School Games National Finals took place at Loughborough University in Hackney Wick with Walton-on-Thames’ Tyler Panton contesting the athletics competition.
The 15-year old boy, who is a pupil at Esher High School, brought back a silver medal after running for South England and beating Northern Ireland, North England and the Midlands in the 4x100m relay.
Tyler, who started running less than two years ago, is ranked second in the UK under 17s, with a record time of 10.8 second for the 100m.
