Kingston families will be walking along the river to Hampton Court to raise money for a £9,000 oxygen monitor for Kingston Hospital’s neonatal unit.

The much-needed machine is a vital life-saving piece of equipment for sick and premature babies.

Volunteers will set off from Kingston Bridge on Friday, September 21 at 10am along the river to Hampton Court.

Buggyfit Kingston, the local fitness group behind the event, estimate the walk should take no longer than an hour.

There will be a bring-your-own picnic on the lawn of Hampton Court Palace after the walk, and money raised will go to Born Too Soon, a charity which supports Kingston Hospital’s neonatal unit.
