An appeal has been launched after a man was assaulted and had his bike stolen.

The victim was sat on his bike by a bench talking to some friends on the tow path behind Buckingham Gardens, West Molesey between 4.50pm and 5.30pm on July 2 when he was approached by a group of five men.

After a brief verbal interaction the men assaulted the victim and took his bike and his bag.

The victim later attended hospital although none of his injuries were life threatening.

One of the suspects is described as black, 5ft 8”, skinny build, wearing a black hoody and jeans.

The second man is described as dark, 5ft 10”, skinny build, wearing a white top with blue jeans.

The third man is described as white, 6ft 3, topless and wearing jeans.

The fourth man is described as white, 6ft, large build, blonde hair, topless and wearing shorts.

The fifth man is described as white, 5ft 7”, skinny build, short black hair, wearing a Nike bag and black tracksuit bottoms.

The victim’s bike is black with white/light grey writing on the side.
