Ignition Dance Festival is set to announce the choreographers who will lead the show at the Rose Theatre next month.
A launch event will be held on Monday, May 14, at the Lyric Main House in Hammersmith, at which the chosen five of 290 applicants will be awarded their commissions.
Five dances choreographed by those given bursaries by the festival will be performed at the event, which is celebrating its fifth year.
Chief executive of DanceWest, which runs Ignition, and founder of the festival Rosie Whitney-Fish said: “The festival provides thousands of opportunities for dancers and choreographers at every stage of their career.
“Ignition is unlike any other festival and is certainly not to be missed. A huge thank you to Arts Council England, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the Royal Borough of Kingston for their continued support.”
The winners will present their dances at the Rose Theatre on June 15.
