District Line passengers have been facing misery due to severe delays between Wimbledon and Parsons Green on the hottest day of the year so far.
The disruption was caused by an earlier signalling problem at West Kensington.
There are also "minor" delays between Richmond and Earl’s Court, although commuters dispute this online.
Passengers are advised to “use alternative routes where possible” while the problem is resolved.
London Underground tickets will be accepted on C2C, South Western Railway and local bus services “via any reasonable route”.
Passengers vented their frustration online.
when will this line be reliable? how much does this hopeless service cost the UK economy? when will the government do something about this?

"It takes over an hour and a half but has genuinely been more pleasant than attempting to get in on the District Line. This morning I thought I would give you another chance and get the tube. Big mistake!"
Another said: "Every single day there are issues. It is becoming beyond a joke. What investment is taking place to resolve these continued issue?"
