Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested after police found them in Plumstead early this morning with stab wounds.
A spokesperson from Met Police said the force was called at around 2.10am today (April 9) to reports of two men with stab injuries at an address in Wolsey Close.
Taxi driver Mike Deakin was dropping off passengers late at night in Plumstead when he saw police descend on the two people.
He said: “I was dropping a customer at the McDonalds. The police went by me about two minutes before I dropped him off.
“Police had blocked the road in front of me and they jumped out and held the guy to the wall.
“Police were panicking a bit as one of them wasn’t really responding.
The two men were taken to hospital for treatment, with neither of their injuries being described as life threatening.
After the treatment, both men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. A quantity of drugs was recovered at the address.
Enquiries are continuing as officers from Greenwich are investigating.
