Upper High Street and Depot Road car parks in Epsom will be partially closed for improvements for the next three weeks.
The work, which includes the long-awaited upgrade of ticket machines, started yesterday (October 30).
The improvements will also include some resurfacing work and realignment of the car park layout to increase capacity and reduce congestion.
Future closures may include the full closure of Depot Road car park for up to three days, but exact dates have yet to be finalised by the council.
Alternative parking is available in the Hook Road multi-story car park or in Upper High Street car park.
Weekly tickets purchased in advance for Depot Road will also be valid in Upper High Street car park.
A council spokesperson said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience these works may cause”.
