41 years ago, 300 Hinchley Wood school pupils attended an after-school showing of "Snuff", a film made by three upper 6th formers - Nick Morris (director) Hans Swift (cameraman) and Ken Brown (music composer).

The story of a schoolboy Scorcese with murderous intent towards his classmates, the 20 minute film featured most of the contemporary students and teachers, and was even featured in the local paper.

Following this, Nick Morris went on to have a successful career in the media, making over 100 music videos and latterly directing live-to-cinema showings of "Les Miserables" and "Phantom of the Opera."

Now, on Saturday, 10 June the restored  film will be showing in the very same hall with numerous ex-students expected to attend, along with other films made around the same time at school.

Anybody who has not heard about this is welcome to come and join us at 4 o'clock in the main hall of the old school. There will be a small admission charge to cover the costs, and you are welcome to bring a bottle! More details can be found at www.super8summershow.co.uk
