A man has been released from bail, but remains part of police enquiries after a 34-year-old Coulsdon man was shot dead at a pool party.

Ricardo Hunter, also known as ‘forty’, was shot dead in the garden of a house in Church Lane, Headley last summer.

A woman, 36, also suffered gunshot wounds to the leg in the attack at the £1million house, as about 300 people attended a party on the night of July 24.

Mr Hunter’s body was found at about 2.30am on Monday, July 25. A post-mortem examination concluded the cause of death as a result of a gunshot wound.

Surrey Police launched a £10,000 reward for information about Mr Hunter’s murder in December, and then appealed on the BBC’s weekly crime show Crimewatch show in March.

A 28-year-old man who had been arrested on suspicion of murder was yesterday (Wednesday, May 10) released from police bail, but remains one of “many lines of enquiry” in Surrey Police’s investigation, a spokeswoman for the force said.

A 30-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man also arrested in connection with the incident had also been advised that they no longer need to answer bail whilst the investigation continues.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: “Officers continue to urge anybody with any information to report it to police as soon as possible.”
