A Kingston University student who racially abused staff at a Notting Hill nightclub after being refused entry for being too drunk has been spared jail.

Polish-born student Karolina Szumko, 18, who studies photography, had drank half a bottle of vodka in December last year when she embarked on a racist tirade against staff at the Notting Hill Arts Club.

She was taken away in handcuffs by police officers who she verbally abused and tried to kick and punch.

Szumko ranted at police officers calling them “British p*****s” and telling them, “You are going to f***ing die, f***ing racists, pretend to be white but wish Merry Christmas to Muslim people.”

Szumko, who has lived in the UK for five years, was ordered to do 150 hours of community service in Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court on March 14 and told to pay £200 to her victims.

The compensation will be taken out of her next student loan payment.
