An elderly cyclist has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Kingston town centre.
Police were first called to the junction of Fairfield North and Queen Elizabeth Road at 1.44pm.
The cyclist, a man in his 70s, was taken to a south London hospital by London Ambulance Service, with his injuries believed to be life threatening.
Two lanes have been closed, with traffic queuing back towards Kingston Hill.
Police officers are at the scene invesitgating.
