Through this paper I would like to thank the very kind lady who on Saturday paid my shopping when I could not find my debit card. I was getting more and more distraught and agitated as the check-out queue lengthened.
I suffer from Parkinson's and am quite 'elderly' (79) which did not help me to keep calm.
Even after it had been found by another customer (I had dropped it on the floor), she just wished me a happy Christmas and would not accept repayment.
I was amazed by the kindness and generosity of this stranger. It has restored my faith in human nature.
