Fans of Kingstonian FC will get their first chance to see what a new stadium might look like at the club's next two home games.

The club's board has signalled it is closer to taking over the former site of Chessington Golf Centre in Garrison Lane after talks with a developer and planning consultant.

Potential designs for a new ground will be on display at Kingsmeadow at March 6 and March 12, in the Patrons Lounge.

In November Kingsmeadow leaseholders AFC Wimbledon announced plans to sell the stadium, forcing the Ks board to look for a new home to secure the 130-year-old club’s future.

A bulletin on the club's website read: "At our home games on both March 6 and 12 we hope to showcase a number of images and a display showing you, our fans, what the stadium could look like.

"As we are sure you can understand at this stage the project is subject to receiving planning approval but at least the designs that will be displayed will provide a concept of what our ground could be like in the future.

"We hope as many of you as possible will attend one or both of the home games and view the designs which will be located in the Patrons Lounge and of course we welcome all comments regarding the future of our Club.

"There will be an opportunity for you to do this via email and leaflets and we really hope as many of you as possible will support this exciting development."
