A Co-op employee was reportedly injured after an attack at the Epsom supermarket on Monday, November 9.
Surrey Police said they visited the Upper High Street Co-op following reports of assault on Monday, November 9 at around 10pm.
A CCTV still of a man was released by the police, who are seeking him in connection with this incident.
No arrests have been made, but investigations are ongoing.
A spokesman for the Co-operative Food said: "I can confirm that a colleague was injured at our store on Monday.
"He is now at home recovering.
"We are fully supporting him, and are working closely with the police to help them with their enquiries."
