A man who spat into a police officer's mouth as he was arrested has been sent to prison for 10 weeks.
The struggle took place at Tolworth Hospital on September 9, and lead to PC Tom Henderson being forced to take virology tests after the spit went into his mouth.
Douglas Easho, 30, of no fixed address, was sentenced on September 15, at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court for assaulting a police officer, criminal damage and using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear.
Easho was also fined £230.
