All four local MPs will fight the forthcoming bill to allow MPs to be exempt from the Freedom of Information Act (FOI).
The private members bill was delayed last week and will now be debated in the Commons on May 18.
Edward Davey, MP for Kingston and Surbiton, said: "The Lib Dems are heading the campaign against this, me included."
Richmond Park MP Susan Kramer said: "I think it is underhand to have one law for everybody else and one for MPs."
Ian Taylor, MP for Esher and Walton, and fellow Tory Phillip Hammond, MP for Runnymede and Weybridge, also oppose the exemption.
