A person has been stabbed in Fairfield Road, Kingston this afternoon.
The stabbing reportedly took place at 4:12pm outside the Kingfisher Leisure Centre.
An air ambulance helicopter landed on the Fairfield.
Mike Shorricks was walking past.
He said: “I saw at least eight police cars and then the ambulance landed. I heard someone might have been stabbed.”
The park has been sealed off following the stabbing
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 4.18pm to Cattle Market, Fairfield North following reports of a male suffering stab wounds.
"Officers and London's Air Ambulance attended.
"A 19-year-old man was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"Officers from Kingston are investigating."
No arrests have been made.
