A 65 year-old man has been charged with murder today after his wife’s body was found in their terraced home on Monday.
Police were called to a house in Stanley Avenue on the edge of New Malden and Motspur Park at 1.17pm on Monday afternoon where they found Linda Mills, aged in her 60s, dead in the house.
They arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
Neighbours said he was seen being wheeled out of the house with blood on his head and was taken to hospital.
Police are said to have told residents of the quiet street they were treating the incident as a "domestic murder" inquiry.
Raymond Mills, 65, of Stanley Avenue, is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, February 13.
