The dog that ran loose on the A3 last week, causing delays and gaining some minor bruising, is recovering well after her adventure.
Molly the cockapoo was out for a walk on Monday, October 27, caught the scent of something that piqued her interest and ran away to investigate, getting lost in the process.
She ran on to the A3 between Elm Lane and the Wisley Interchange, resulting in the northbound side being shut for about 40 minutes while police rescued her.
Molly wrote into the newsdesk to apologise to those she gave a fright and to thank the police, via her owner, Tracey Robinson, of Thames Ditton.
She said: "I am normally very good and not used to being in disgrace, but after biting the policeman who tried to pick me up when I was running down the A3, my mum is a bit ashamed of me."
