The Prime Minister hosted pupils and staff from Cobham Free School and Yehudi Menuhin School at Lancaster House, London, to celebrate free schools.
Students played their violins to David Cameron and Secretary of State for Education Nicky Morgan at the event on Monday, October 13.
Mr Cameron said: "We want to go on investing and helping with the Free School success, to create the best education system in western Europe that enables young people to get on and make the most of their lives."
Annalise Lubbe, 8, of Cobham Free School, said: "It was one of the best days of my life as I got to meet the Prime Minister. I loved the beautiful building, it was like a palace."
