Hot 8 Brass Band

Concorde 2. Brighton, Saturday, February 16

New Orleans’ Hot 8 Brass Band will be returning to Brighton this February, the home-away-from-home in which they filmed the video for their biggest hit to date, a Hot 8 cover of Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing.

Ostensibly, the Hot 8 are coming back to the South of England to promote the upcoming release of their new album, Take Cover, to be released just six days after their Brighton performance.

Coming off the back of two more covers released in 2018—Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart and George Benson’s Give Me the Night—and a recent performance on Jools Holland’s Mew Year’s Eve Hootenanny, the Hot 8 will bring their 20-year back catalogue of original material and innovative reimagining to Concorde 2 this February.
