A new recording school and a dedicated choir room are just some of the additions to Trinity School as it officially opened its new music facilities.

More than 500 people gathered at the school to explore the new facilities, which include three ICT suites; a Steinway piano suite (the first of its kind in the UK) and a host of specifically designed instrumental teaching rooms.

Headmaster Alasdair Kennedy was excited to see what the facilities would mean for the school going forward.

"We are extremely proud of the outstanding quality of music at Trinity," he said.

"This unique facility means that over the next decades thousands more students from Trinity and from our wider community will have the opportunity both to participate in music and, in many cases, to become truly exceptional young musicians."
