GREATER LONDON COUNCIL (GENERAL POWERS) ACT 1974 EXEMPTION TO FOOTWAY PARKING PROHIBITION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under Section 15(4) of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974 have resolved that vehicles parked with one or more of Its wheels resting on the footway, and wholly within the areas delineated by white lines along the length of road Identified in the Schedule to this Notice, shall be exempt from Section 15(1) of the said Act which makes It an offence to park on the footway.
The resolution shall take effect from 12th November 2018.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
QUEEN MARY AVENUE, MORDEN (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate road safety Improvement works In Queen Mary Avenue, Morden, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter into or proceed in Queen Mary Avenue, from the north­eastern kerb-line of Grand Drive north-eastward for a distance of 20 metres; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in the length of Queen Mary Avenue specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Access to properties adjacent to the length of road described in paragraph 2 above would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Queen Mary Avenue, Cannon Hill Lane and Grand Drive.

8. The Order would come into operation on Saturday 20 October 2018 with the works expected to be carried out until Sunday 28th October 2018 with the full road closure in force on Friday 26 October 2018 and Saturday 27 October 2018. However, the Order would remain in operation until 28th April 2019 and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

STATION ROAD, NEW MALDEN (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate development works in Station Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Station Road, the south-west and south-east sides, adjacent Policrom House, 9 Station Road; or

(b) enter or proceed in the footway adjacent to the lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed via the footway opposite.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 15 October 2018 and will remain in force for 12 months or until the works are completed, which is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
BOTSFORD ROAD, WIMBLEDON CHASE (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate the construction of a raised table and lining works in Botsford Road they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works:-

(a) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to;-

(i) enter or proceed in Botsford Road, from its junction with Whatley Avenue north-westward for a distance of 30 metres; or

(ii) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the length of Botsford Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) above;

(b) the one-way working in Botsford Road would be suspended and two-way traffic permitted.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed by way of Bushey Road, Martin Way and Whatley Avenue.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 22nd October 2018 with the works anticipated to be finished within 2 weeks. However, the Order would remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

GRAHAM AVENUE AND STREATHAM ROAD, CR4 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate the removal site hoarding and landscaping works at No. 23 Streatham Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in Graham Avenue and Streatham Road.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose

(i) Graham Avenue, the north-east side, from the south­eastern kerb-line of Streatham Road, south-eastward for a distance of 120 metres; or

(ii) Streatham Road, the south-east side, between the north­eastern kerb-line of Graham Avenue north-eastward for a distance of 45 metres; or

(b) enter or proceed in the footway adjacent to the lengths of roads specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the lengths of roads specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) above would be suspended for the duration of the works at No. 23 Streatham Road.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closures should proceed via the footway opposite.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(ROWAN ROAD, SW16) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in Rowan Road, SW16, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which during the works would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding in or waiting (including in any parking places or for the purpose of loading or unloading) in Rowan Road, between its junction with Stanford Way and its junction with Manor Road.

2. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Rowan Road specified above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

3. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using adjacent roads.

4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties in Rowan Road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 22 October 2018 with the works anticipated to take place over 5 nights between the hours of 8pm and 5am the following day. However, the Order would remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.
