LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON PROPOSED 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT IN HIGH STREET, WIMBLEDON, CHURCH ROAD, SW19 AND VARIOUS ADJOINING ROADS THE MERTON (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 201*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above mentioned Order under sections 84 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to

(a) impose a 20 MPH speed limit in the roads or lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice;

(b) revoke the Merton (20 MPH Speed Limit) (No. 9) Traffic Order 2017 and re-apply its provisions.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans which indicate the lengths of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during the Council's normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey or at the Wimbledon Library, 35A Wimbledon Hill Road, Wimbledon SW19 7NB.

4. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey,

SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting the reference ES/VILLAGE20MPH/2 no later than 13 July 2018. Dated 21 June 2018.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 7) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice, that to facilitate a programme of footway reconstruction and maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads or lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit:-

(a) pedestrians from entering or proceeding on the footways in those roads or lengths of roads; and

(b) vehicular traffic from parking or waiting in those roads or lengths of roads.

2. Pedestrians affected by a footway closure should proceed via the adjacent footway.

3. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of roads. The works would be carried out under a rolling programme of parking suspension to minimise inconvenience to residents.

4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency;

(d) any person requiring pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the prohibited footways insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order would come into force on Friday 29 June 2018 and the anticipated works dates are listed in the Schedule to this Notice. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months during which its provisions would be re-introduced should further works be required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON THE MERTON (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (NO. *) ORDER 201*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 32, 35 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the 'Off-Street Parking Places' Order would be to revoke the Merton (OfF-Street Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 2017 and re-introduce its provisions with amendments to improve the robustness of the Order and ensure the enforceability of its provisions outside of the charging hours of the off-street parking places.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected Monday to Friday during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.

4. Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/OFFSTREET1, no later than 13 July 2018.
