NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond of Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, Middlesex, TW1 3BZ (the "Council") has drafted an order pursuant to section 247 of the Act in respect of land at Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 2EF all such land being in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The effect of the Order would be that the said land would cease to be public highway. The Council is satisfied that it is necessary to stop up the highway in Richmond Road to enable the implementation of a planning permission granted by the Council on 21st September 2017 (under reference number 16/2777/FUL) for the development of the site at Ryde House, 391 Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 2EF, for the demolition of the existing building, the construction of a new mixed use development comprising a food store (1,123m2 sales area) and primary school with associated car parking (55 spaces allocated to foodstore and 1 space allocated to school); alterations to site entrance, landscaping, and associated works. The Council will formally consider any objections to the making of the Order which are submitted to it by 28th February 2018.
Any objections must be in writing and sent to the South London Legal Partnership, Gifford House, 67c St. Helier Avenue, Morden SM4 6HY (quoting reference Ref. R/HB/283-27). A copy of the Order and a map defining the land to which it relates can be inspected at the Council's Civic Offices at all reasonable hours until 28th February 2018.
