THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL EAST STREET (A24), EPSOM AND EPSOM ROAD (A24), EWELL TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018 ON 24TH JANUARY 2018
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of East Street (A24), Epsom and Epsom Road (A24), Ewell that extends from the junction with Church Road to the junction with Langton Avenue. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via East Street, Upper High Street, Alexandra Road, College Road, Reigate Road and Epsom Road. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable major maintenance and/or highway resurfacing works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00 as soon as possible within the eighteen month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 30th January 2018. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained at all times for pedestrians, residents, businesses and emergency vehicles however all H.G.V.s and buses will be required to follow the signed diversion route. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

(D1021) GARLICHILL ROAD AND (D1025) DOWNLAND WAY, EPSOM DOWNS TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along the following lengths of roads: - (a) that length of (D1021) Garlichill Road, Epsom Downs as extends from its junction with Shawley Way, northwards, for a distance of 15 metres; (b) that length of (D1025) Downland Way, Epsom Downs as extends from its junction with Shawley Way, southwards, for a distance of 15 metres. This Order is required to enable SGN to carry out gas main replacement works. These works are anticipated to be completed within 2 weeks during the six month period of operation of this Order which commences on 12 February 2018. Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 07.30hrs and 18.00hrs during weekdays, between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs on Saturdays, and between 09.00hrs and 14.00hrs on Sundays. The closure will stay in force 24 hours per day however advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained via the signed diversion route. Diversion Route 1: vehicular traffic will be diverted via Shawley Way, Northview Crescent, Garlichill Road, Beech Grove and Walkfield Drive or this route in reverse order; Diversion Route 2: vehicular traffic will be diverted via Shawley Way, Great Tattenhams and Tattenham Crescent or this route in reverse order.
