THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL GAYFERE ROAD (D2174), STONLEIGH AND THE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2017
ON 20TH DECEMBER 2017 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of:
a) Gayfere Road (D2174), Stonleigh; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Broadway, Woodstone Avenue and Richlands Avenue; and
b) The Rise (D2356), Ewell; vehicular traffic will be diverted via West Street, The Mount and The Kingsway.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable highway resurfacing and/ormaintenance works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the eighteen monthperiod of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 8th January 2018. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs aredisplayed. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents, businesses and emergency vehicles at all times. HGVs and buses will be required to follow the diversion routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to asuitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.
