SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR PROHIBITIONS AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS - AREA OF MANSFIELD ROAD, CHESSINGTON (TMO-P228)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 28th August 2017 made the following Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985: -
The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 1) Order 2017 and The Kingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 1) Order 2017.
2. The general effect of the Order, which will come into force on 4th September 2017, will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of The Kingston upon Thames (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 2) Experimental Traffic Order 2016 which provides that;
(a) in Mansfield Road, Chessington, 'School Keep Clear' prohibitions are lengthened or introduced in order to prevent the stopping of vehicles in the general area west of Field Close, applying between 8.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays during term time;
(b) double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions and single yellow line waiting restrictions (applying from 8a.m. to 9a.m. and 3p.m. to 4p.m. on Mondays to Fridays) are introduced at various locations in Field Close, Gibson Close and Tedder Close, Chessington.
Please note:- the abovementioned 'School Keep Clear' prohibitions (put in place by the experimental scheme) will remain in place but, in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs and General Directions 2016, this type of restriction is no longer controlled by an Order.
3. The Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans showing locations and effect are available for inspection until 9th October 2017 at:
? The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and
? Hook &Chessington Library, The Hook Centre, Hook Road, Chessington during normal opening hours.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 9th
