Priory Lane and Roehampton Gate, Minor Parking Amendments

MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS PRIORY LANE AND ROEHAMPTON GATE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 25 May 2022 made the following Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
- The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. 616) Order 2022

1. The general effects of the Order is to:-

(a) upgrade existing single yellow lines to double yellow lines ("no waiting at any time'') in the flowing locations:-

(i) Priory Lane (north side), between a point 12m east of the eastern kerb line of Roehampton Gate and a point 6m east of the common boundary of Nos. 136 and 138 Priory Lane.

(ii) Priory Lane (south side), from a point opposite the point 2m east of the common boundary of Nos. 138 and 140 westwards for a distance of 14m.

(iii) Priory Lane (northwest side) and Bank Lane (southwest side) - between a point 6.6m northeast of the common boundary of Nos. 134 and 136 Priory Lane and a point on the southwestern kerb line of Bank Lane 10m northwest of the north western kerb line of Priory Lane at its junction with Bank Lane.

(iv) Priory Lane (southeast side) and Clarence Lane (south side) - from a point opposite the point 6.6m northeast of the common boundary of Nos. 134 and 136 Priory Lane north­eastwards along the south-eastern kerb line of Priory Lane and southern kerb line of Clarence Lane for a distance of 79m.

(b) Introduce double yellow lines ("no waiting at any time") in the following locations:-

(i) Roehampton Gate (east side) and Priory Lane (north side) - between a point 12m east of the eastern kerb line of Roehampton Gate and a point 39m north of the northern kerb line of Priory Lane at its junction with Roehampton Gate

(ii) Roehampton Gate (west side) and Roedean Crescent (southwest side) - between a point 18.5m south of the common boundary of No. 46 Roedean Crescent and No. 42 Roehampton Gate and for a point 4.3m southeast of the common boundary of Nos. 44 and 46 Roedean Crescent.

(iii) Roehampton Gate and Roedean Crescent junction - on all sides of the central triangular island at the junction of Roehampton Gate and Roedean Crescent.

(iv) Roehampton Gate (northwest side) and Roedean Crescent (northeast side) - from a point 6.4m southwest of the common boundary of Nos. 38 and 40 Roehampton Gate south-westwards along the northwest kerb line of Roehampton Gate and northeast kerb line of Roedean Crescent for a distance of 38m.

(v) Roehampton Gate (southeast side) - from a point 2.4m southwest of the common boundary of Nos. 33 and 35 Roehampton Gate south-westwards for a distance of 46.5m.

(vi) Priory Lane (south side) - from the boundary of Richmond Park at Roehampton Gate, along the southern kerb line of Priory Lane north-eastwards for a distance of 54m.

(vii) Roedean Crescent (northwest side) and Bank Lane (southwest side) - between a point 4.5m northwest of the north western kerb line of Roedean Crescent and a point 10m southwest of the southwestern kerb line of Bank Lane.

(viii) Roedean Crescent (southeast side) and Bank Lane (southwest side) - between a point 10m southeast of the south-eastern kerb line of Roedean Crescent and a point 9m southwest of the southwestern kerb line of Bank Lane.

(ix) Roehampton Gate (northwest side) and Bank Lane (southwest side) - from a point 16.6m northeast of the common boundary of Nos. 2 and 4 Roehampton Gate north-eastwards along the north western kerb line Roehampton Gate and southwestern kerb line of Bank Lane for a distance of 27m.

(x) Roehampton Gate (southeast side) and Bank Lane (southwest side) - between a point 10m southeast of the south-eastern kerb line of Roehampton Gate and a point 10m southwest of the southwestern kerb line of Bank Lane.

(xi) Bank Lane (northeast side) - from the north-western kerb of the vehicular entrance of Bank of England Sports Centre north-westwards for a distance of 5m.

(xii) Bank Lane (northeast side) - from the south-eastern kerb of the vehicular entrance of Bank of England Sports Centre south-eastwards for a distance of 5m.

(xiii) Bank Lane (northeast side) and Priory Lane (northwest side) - between a point 9m northwest of the north-western kerb line of Priory Lane and a point 25m northeast of the north-eastern kerb line of Bank Lane.

(xiv) For updating the TMO. Priory Lane (southeast side) - from the northern kerb line of Clarence Lane north-eastward for a distance of 304m.

2. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, which comes into force on 30 May 2022 are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
