THE A240 GLA SIDE ROAD (TOBY WAY, ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES) (ONE-WAY) (REVOCATION) ORDER 2022


1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to:

a) extend Red Route restriction on Kingston Road between its junction with Toby Way and a point 23.5 metres north-west of the extended north-western building line of No.12 Kingston Road (140 metres);

b) shorten Red Clearway restriction on Kingston Road between Toby Way and a point 23.5 metres north-west of the extended north-western building line of No.12 Kingston Road;

c) introduce double Red Route controls 'No Stopping at Any Time' on Kingston Road between Toby Way and a point 23.5 metres north-west of the extended north-western building line of No.12 Kingston Road;

d) introduce Red Route controls on Toby Way between its junction with Kingston Road and 1 metre south-west of the extended north-eastern building of Nos.1 to 9 Dean Court, Kingston Road;

e) introduce double Red Route controls 'No Stopping at Any Time' on Toby Way between its junction with Kingston Road and 1 metre south-west of the extended north-eastern building of Nos.1 to 9 Dean Court, Kingston Road;

f) revoke the oneway operation on Toby Way between its junctions with Kingston Road and the extended north-eastern building line of Dean Court, allowing two way operation.

3. The roads which would be affected by the Orders are the A240 GLA Road - Kingston Road and GLA Side Road - Toby Way in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

4. A copy of the Orders, a statement of Transport for London's reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Orders and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Orders can be inspected by visiting our website at www.tfl.gov.uk/traffic-orders-2022 then select Traffic Order GLA/2022/0276-0278. Copies of the documents may be requested via email at trafficordersection@tfl,gov.uk, or by post at the following address quoting reference NP/REGULATION/STOT/BS/TRO, GLA/2022/0276-0278.

5. All objections and other representations to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ or by emailing trafficordersection@tfl.gov.uk quoting reference NP/REGULATION/STOT/BS/TRO, GLA/2022/0276-0278, to arrive before 20th June 2022. Please note due to Covid-19 access to post is restricted and requests for documents and confirmation of your objections or representations may be delayed. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
