ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)
Temporary Parking Suspension Montague Road, Richmond
(Ref: 22/073)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate construction works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a parking suspension in Montague Road, Richmond

2. Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to wait or stand in Montague Road, in the resident 3 permit bays sited outside No. 20 Montague Road.

3. The order will come into effect on 21 March 2022. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 21 March 2022 until 15 March 2023. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure Duke Street, Richmond

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Duke Street, Richmond.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Duke Street between its junctions with Little Green and Quadrant Road.

3. The order will come into effect on 23 March 2022. The restrictions will be in force at all times from between 10pm on 23 March 2022 and 5.30am on 24 March 2022 and whilst signs/cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via The Quadrant, Kew Road, Little Green, Parkshot and Twickenham Road

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure Oak Avenue, Hampton

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Oak Avenue, Hampton.

2. Whilst the works take place:-

(a) No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Oak Avenue between the southern kerb-line of South Road and its junction with Broad Lane;

(b) No person shall case or permit any vehicle to enter or exit Courtlands Avenue at its junction with Oak Avenue.

3. The order will come into effect on 22 March 2022. The restrictions will be in force at all times from between 9.30am and 3.30pm on 22 March 2022 and whilst signs/cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Oak Avenue, Green Lane, Swan Road, Hampton Lane, Hanworth Road, Dean Road, Buckingham Road, The Avenue and Broad Lane.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (SCHOOL STREETS) (EXPERIMENTAL No. 1) ORDER 2022
SCHOOL STREET - WORPLE STREET
(Reference 22/079)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames proposes to make the above Order under sections 9 and 10 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order is to make certain changes to the existing school streets, the effect being that no person shall enter the school streets detailed in the schedule, at the times indicated, unless the vehicle has a permit for the particular street, as indicated by the identifier in column 2 to the said schedule.

3. Copies of particulars giving further details to the Order, which comes into operation on 28 March 2022: -

(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 22/079, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.

4. In pursuance of section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Assistant Director, Traffic and Engineering of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, as the specified officer, or some person authorised in that behalf by that officer may, if it appears to that officer or to that person essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic, or of the provision of suitable and adequate parking facilities on the highway, or for preserving or improving the amenities of the areas through which the roads affected by the Order runs, modify or suspend the Order or any provision thereof.

5. If the provisions of the Order continue in operation for a period of not less than six months, the Council will consider in due course whether the provisions should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of an Order under section 6 of the said Act of 1984. Persons wishing to object to or support the making of such an Order for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation in force may, within the period o1 six months referred to above (i.e. by 29 September 2022) send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds of that objection to the address below.

6. Please address any representations to this Order to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, or email Trafficorders@richmond.gov.uk.

7. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

Temporary Road Closure Orleans Road, Twickenham

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a water connection they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Orleans Road, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person may permit a vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Orleans Road between its junctions with Richmond Road and Chapel Road.

3. The order will come into effect on 28 March 2022. The restrictions will remain in force between at all times from 28 March 2022 until 1 April 2022, with back-up dates of 4 April 2022 until 8 April 2022 (if required).. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for traffic will be available via Richmond Road, Montpelier Row and Chapel Road.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle.

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure Percy Road, Hampton
(Reference 22/081)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that due to the need to facilitate essential maintenance works on Hampton level crossing they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which is to introduce a road closure in Percy Road, Hampton

2. Whilst the works take place, no person may permit a vehicle to proceed in Percy Road, Hampton between a point 20 metres south of the level crossing and a point 20 metres north of the level crossing.

3. Whilst the Hampton Level Crossing in Percy Road is closed an alternative route for traffic will be via Station Road, Tudor Road and Ashley Road.

4. The Order shall come into operation on 30 March 2022 and shall remain in force for 18 months to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5. The works are anticipated to be in progress overnight from 23.30 on 30 March 2022 until 05.30 on 31 March 2022

6. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

7. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) emergency service vehicles.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
