LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(COTTENHAM PARK ROAD, WEST WIMBLEDON) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning in Cottenham Park Road they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Cottenham Park Road, between the western boundary of No. 100 Cottenham Park Road and the eastern boundary of No. 96 Cottenham Park Road; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Cottenham Park Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Cottenham Park Road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Durham Road, Melbury Gardens and Oakwood Road.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

3. The Order will come into force on Monday 26th April 2021 and it is expected that the works will be completed that day. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 6 months should further works be required.

(CHILMARK ROAD, OXTOBY WAY AND WINDERMERE ROAD, STREATHAM)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works in Chilmark Road and Oxtoby Way, Streatham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Chilmark Road and Oxtoby Road and restrict vehicular traffic in Windermere Road.

2. During the works no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Oxtoby Way, from the north-western kerb-line of Chilmark Road north-westward for a distance of 15 metres; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle in:-

(i) Chilmark Road, the north-west side, between its junction with Windermere Road and a point 6.6 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 34 and 36 Chilmark Road;

(ii) Chilmark Road, the south-east side, between its junction with Windermere Road and the common boundary of Nos. 45 and 47 Chilmark Road;

(iii) Oxtoby Way, from the north-western kerb-line of Chilmark Road north-westward for a distance of 20 metres;

(iv) Windermere Road, the north-east side, between its junction with Chilmark Road and common boundary of Nos. 83 and 85 Windermere Road;

(v) Windermere Road, the south-west side, between the common boundary of Nos. 86 and 88 Windermere Road and the common boundary of Nos. 118 and 120 Windermere Road; or

(c) enter of proceed in:-

(i) the footways in the length of Oxtoby Way specified in paragraph 2(a) above; or

(ii) the north-western footway of Chilmark Road, from its junction with Oxtoby Way south-westward for a distance of 5 metres.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(b)(i) to (v) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in Chilmark Road and Oxtoby Way.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties in Oxtoby Way, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Oxtoby Way is a cul-de-sac, hence a diversion for vehicular traffic is not applicable.

7. Pedestrian access to properties in Oxtoby Way would be maintained at all times using the walkway provided. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure in Chilmark Road should proceed using the footway opposite.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order would come into operation on Monday 10th May 2021 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed within 5 days. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

NORTHBOROUGH ROAD, STREATHAM
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate Virgin Media utility works outside No. 237 Northborough Road, Streatham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Northborough Road, the north-west side, from the south-western kerb-line of Lyndhurst Avenue south-westward for 20 metres;

(b) enter or proceed in the north-western footway of Northborough Road adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or in connection with the delivery or collection of material to or from the work site; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 12th May 2021 and the works are anticipated to be completed on Friday 14th May 2021. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

ORCHARD LANE, RAYNES PARK
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate development works at No. 3 Orchard Lane, Raynes Park, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Orchard Lane.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Orchard Lane, the south-east side, between the common boundary of No. 160 Durham Road and No. 1 a Orchard Lane and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 8 and 10 Orchard Lane.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 26th April 2021 and remain in force for 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

GOAT ROAD, MITCHAM
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works in Goat Road, Mitcham, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Goat Road, between its junction with Carshalton Road and the eastern boundary of No. 12 Goat Road; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in paragraph (a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Goat Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using London Road and Mill Green Road or vice-versa.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into operation on Monday 12th April 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 8pm on Monday 12th April 2021 and 5am the following day. However, the Order will remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
AVENUE ROAD, STREATHAM
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate the renewal of a wooden telegraph pole in Avenue Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Avenue Road, both sides, between the common boundary of Nos. 66 and 68 Avenue Road and the common boundary of Nos. 74 and 76 Avenue Road.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Thursday 6th May 2021 and it is anticipated that the works would be carried out between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm that day. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.
