THE LONDON BOROUGH OF WANDSWORTH hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to authorise the stopping up of the highway described in the First Schedule.
IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping-up will be authorised in order to enable the development described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 by the London Borough of Wandsworth on 30 March 2012 under local planning authority reference 2011/1815 and subsequently amended under s73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 under planning references 2013/5239 dated 12 September 2014, 2014/1097 dated 12 September 2014, 2014/3147 dated 17 September 2014, and 2015/4933, 2015/5658, 2015/7506, and 2016/2420 (all dated 10 May 2017).
COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED FREE OF CHARGE between 09:00 and 17:00 during a period of 28 days commencing on Friday 5 July 2019 at the Planning and Development offices at Wandsworth Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, SW18 2PU.
ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed Order by writing to the Director of Environment and Community Services, London Borough of Wandsworth, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, SW18 2PU quoting reference 2011/1815. Any objection must be received by Friday 2 August 2019. In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

Areas of Highway to be Stopped Up
That part of Ponton Road, London SW11 7BL, shown as hatched in black on the plan referenced 170229 WDK 00 SI DR C 0110, which can be viewed at the address given above, and consisting of an area of 297.37m2 running from a point south to north on the east side of 1-12 Ponton Road for a distance of 26.2 m to a point east to west on the eastern side of 1-12 Ponton Road for a distance of 11.35m.
THE SECOND SCHEDULE
Embassy Gardens, land south of Nine Elms Lane comprising DHL Depot and 1-12 Ponton Road and 51 Nine Elms Lane, SW8
The demolition of existing buildings and the construction of a mixed use development to provide residential units, including affordable housing, retail, financial and professional services, cafe/restaurant/bar, and hot food takeaway uses, car showrooms, office floorspace and flexible workspace, a hotel, community uses and assembly and leisure uses, associated basement and ground level parking and servicing, energy centres, new vehicle and pedestrian access and circulation; and new public amenity space and landscaping, including part of the Linear Park.
